Build

Build is the customisation workbench: Customize Form and Custom Field to add fields, Client Script and Server Script for logic, Print Format, DocType for entirely new forms, Report Builder, Dashboard and Workspace editing. Adding a vehicle number field on Delivery Note is a typical task. It is for administrators and implementers only. Customisations survive updates, but a field added to a submitted document, or a script that changes amounts, can break posting or the CBMS payload, so test on the demo site first.

1. 01Go to Build from the sidebar.
2. 02Click Customize Form, choose Delivery Note and add a Vehicle Number field.
3. 03Save; the field appears on the form immediately.
4. 04Add it to the print format through Print Format if it must show on the document.
5. 05Use Client Script to make it mandatory or to validate it.
6. 06Test with one Delivery Note before telling the team.
