Stock

Stock is the inventory workspace: Item, Warehouse, Stock Entry, Stock Reconciliation, Purchase Receipt, Delivery Note and Material Request, with the cards Total Stock Value, Total Warehouses and Total Active Items and the charts for stock value by item group and warehouse, ageing, shortages and trends. The demo has 100 items in 5 warehouses and opening stock of Rs 4,50,000. The storekeeper uses it daily for receipts and deliveries; the accountant at month end to agree stock value with Stock In Hand in the ledger.

1. 01Go to Stock from the sidebar.
2. 02Read Total Stock Value and compare it with Stock In Hand on the Balance Sheet.
3. 03Click Purchase Receipt > New when goods arrive; Delivery Note > New when they ship.
4. 04Use Stock Entry for transfers between warehouses and Stock Reconciliation after a count.
5. 05Open Stock Balance or Stock Ledger from the reports list to trace any item.
6. 06Check Item Shortage Summary for urgent purchases.
