Employee
A staff record used for expense claims, advances and as a party on payments. No ledger effect itself.
In detail
An Employee is the record of one member of staff: name, joining date, department, designation, branch and bank details for salary. In accounting it matters as a party: an employee can receive an advance through a Payment Entry, submit an Expense Claim that posts to expense accounts, and be the custodian on an Asset. Creating the record posts nothing; the advance and the expense claim post when submitted. The record is needed before a Sales Person, a maintenance team member or an advance can exist. Keep the PAN of each employee here, because TDS on salary is reported per employee to the IRD.
