IRD Purchase Book
The Purchase Book (खरिद खाता) prescribed by the 2082 procedure: each purchase with seller PAN, taxable, exempt and import values and input VAT.
In detail
The IRD Purchase Book (खरिद खाता) is the statutory purchase register under the 2082 procedure: one row per purchase bill with the BS date, the supplier's bill number, supplier name and PAN, total purchase, and the split into exempt purchases, taxable purchases, imports and the input VAT paid. The input VAT total is what you may set off against VAT collected, but only for bills that carry a valid supplier PAN and tax invoice; bills without them appear here with VAT in the non claimable column. Capital purchases such as the Rs 1,00,000 laptop are listed separately for the return. The demo lists 125 purchase invoices, including the two Market mind investment group bills, which carry no VAT.
Formula
Input VAT = Taxable purchases x 13%; Total purchases = Exempt + Taxable + Import; claimable input VAT needs a supplier PAN
