Electronic Billing Procedure 2082
Also called: विद्युतीय बीजक कार्यविधि २०८२
The IRD rulebook for billing software: no deletion, print counting, a QR code, prescribed registers, an activity log and the CBMS link.
In detail
The Electronic Billing Procedure 2082 is the IRD's rulebook for any software that issues tax invoices, replacing the 2074 procedure. It requires that no invoice can be deleted or silently edited, that every print after the first is counted and marked Copy of Original, that every invoice carries a QR code, that the software keeps the Sales Book, Purchase Book and return registers, that it can show the Annex 5 Standard View and an activity log on demand, that it syncs each bill to CBMS in real time, and that records are kept for six years. BRAccount is built to these rules; your part is the monthly filings and keeping the credentials valid. Listing the software with the IRD (Annex 1) is the producer's filing, and BRAccount is not on the list yet. The Compliance Checklist report scores each requirement.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Nepal IRD > Compliance Checklist and run it for the company.
- 02Read the three groups: checks the software meets, checks that need a manual look, and checks that need your action.
- 03For a manual item, open the named register or log and confirm it holds what the procedure asks.
- 04For an action item, such as registering the software with the IRD, do it and re-run the report.
- 05Keep the checklist printout with your tax file; it is the evidence of compliance an inspector asks for.
When to use it
You do not configure it; BRAccount is built to it. The checklist report shows what is met and what needs your filing.
Example from the demo books
23 checks: 13 met by the software, 9 need a manual look, 1 needs your action.
