Asset reports

Asset Activity

A list of actions taken on assets: created, submitted, depreciated, scrapped or sold, from Asset Activity.

In detail

Asset Activity is a simple list of everything that happened to assets, written by BRAccount each time an Asset record is created, submitted, depreciated, transferred by an Asset Movement, repaired, revalued, scrapped or sold, with the date, the user and a note. It is the audit trail behind the Fixed Asset Register: when the auditor asks who scrapped the old printer and when, or why the laptop sits in Koteshwor Store, this report answers. As a Report Builder view you can add or remove columns and save your own version. The Dell laptop in the demo shows its creation, submission and each monthly depreciation posting. Nothing here changes the ledger; it records, it does not post.

Formula

One row per event on an asset; rows per asset = creation + submission + one per depreciation posted + movements and disposals

How to record it in BRAccount

  1. 01Go to Assets > Asset Activity in the Assets workspace reports.
  2. 02Filter by Asset, for example the Dell laptop ACC-ASS-2026-00002, or by Date range.
  3. 03Read Date, Asset, Subject (the action) and User per row.
  4. 04Add columns such as Asset Category with the column picker if you need them.
  5. 05Save the layout with Menu > Save for next time.
  6. 06Open the asset itself when an event looks unexpected, such as a movement nobody approved.

When to use it

Open to see the history of one asset or who changed what.
