Abbreviated tax invoice

Also called: संक्षिप्त कर बीजक

A shorter retail format for small consumer sales, allowed with IRD permission.

In detail

An abbreviated tax invoice is the short retail format the IRD allows for sales to final consumers up to a set amount per bill, with the IRD's permission for that outlet. It omits the buyer's name and PAN and shows the price inclusive of VAT, which suits counter sales, cafes and small shops where asking for a PAN is impractical. A buyer cannot claim input VAT from it, so a business customer must ask for a full tax invoice instead. BRAccount offers it as a print format on the Sales Invoice; the posting is the same as a full invoice, with VAT split out of the inclusive price, and the bill still reaches the Sales Book and CBMS.

Formula

Taxable value = Inclusive price / 1.13; VAT = Inclusive price - Taxable value.
