Asset Activity
A log line per asset: created, depreciated, moved, repaired, scrapped. No ledger effect.
In detail
Asset Activity is the automatic diary of one asset: a line each time it is created, submitted, depreciated, moved, repaired, revalued, sold or scrapped, with the user, the date and the document that caused it. BRAccount writes the rows itself; you cannot add or edit them. It posts nothing to the General Ledger, but it is the easiest way to answer an auditor's question about what happened to a particular laptop and when. For ACC-ASS-2026-00002 the list shows the Asset submission and the depreciation posted by ACC-JV-2026-00091. If an activity you expect is missing, the underlying document was probably never submitted.
How to record it in BRAccount
- 01Go to Assets > Asset and open the asset, for example ACC-ASS-2026-00002.
- 02Scroll to the Activity section or open Assets > Asset Activity filtered by the asset.
- 03Read each row: the action, the linked document and the date.
- 04Click the linked Journal Entry or Asset Movement to open the source document.
- 05Export the list from the Menu button if the auditor wants the asset history on paper.
When to use it
Read only; see the activity list on the Asset form.
Example from the demo books
ACC-ASS-2026-00002: Asset submitted, then depreciation posted via ACC-JV-2026-00091.
